Cello and music stand

Ever since I was 13, I wanted to teach cello. Now I have 30 years of teaching experience working with all ages of students starting from 3. I feel incredibly grateful that my childhood passion came true!

My goal is to help each student to enjoy music and reach their own goals and full potential. In addition to traditional methods, I am certified for the Suzuki method and Dalcroze (musicianship), which focuses on rhythms and pitches through improvisation. I tailor my lessons by incorporating these methods and my knowledge of music theory.

I guide students to actively participate in solo and orchestra auditions, competitions, recitals, and chamber music. One of my specialties is to help students to learn how to overcome and manage challenges to perform in public so that they can share their best performances. Some of my students are currently in the top levels of Chicago Youth Symphony, Elgin Youth Symphony, and Midwest Young Artists.
